LNG is natural gas that has been liquefied for storage and transportation purposes (this includes LNG vessels, but also onshore handling). Atlas Copco turbomachinery and pump solutions are used across the LNG supply chain.

LNG transportation: Atlas Copco provides gas-handling solutions for all types of transport ship propulsion systems. Our solutions include gas handling for steam and dual fuel diesel electric (DFDE) LNG carriers, as well as gas handling for ships using ME-GI engines and for LNG Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) systems. Our services also extend to full on-board reliquefaction plants. With decades of experience in the field, we are able to advise you in selecting the best system designed to meet your needs.

LNG terminals: Our high-pressure send-out pumps are the perfect solution for boil-off gas (BOG) handling in gas liquefaction terminals or at the heart of receiving terminals. Atlas Copco offers a complete range of rotating equipment that includes fully API-compliant utility compressors. Our onshore turbomachinery processes gas in the world’s largest LNG trains. For small or mid-scale LNG liquefaction facilities, our expertise extends to turbocompressors and expanders used for mixed refrigerant or nitrogen-based liquefaction cycles.
