Atlas Copco wins breakthrough order, strengthens position in Asian carrier LNG market
Cologne, November 7, 2017: Drawing from its large experience serving the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market turbomachinery manufacturer Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division has secured a breakthrough compressor order for the carrier LNG market in Asia. The order – placed by Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea – is for a total of four centrifugal gas compressors, four gas screws compressors along with the necessary heaters and vaporizers, to be used on two Korean vessels.

Gas and Process implements unified GT naming for integrally-geared turbocompressor line
Cologne, January 6, 2017 : The Gas and Process Division has decided that effective January 1, 2017 all of its integrally-geared turbocompressors will be named GT, replacing the previous four-fold naming convention of GT, H, SC, TP. The uniform naming will be GT integrally-geared centrifugal compressor or GT integrally-geared turbocompressor.

Houston, USA, October 1, 2014: Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division, which is responsible for the sales, repair and service of gas compressors, expanders and pumps, has launched a new dedicated aftermarket organization, to better serve North American customers in the industrial gases, oil and gas, and renewable energy markets. October 24, 2013, Cologne, Germany: Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division representatives attended a ceremony welcoming the start of construction on a geothermal power plant in Grünwald, located 12 km outside of Munich, Germany. Here, Atlas Copco Gas and Process will install a 3.8 MW turboexpander generator train, as part of an order totaling MEUR 10.7 (approximately MSEK 91).

Stockholm, Sweden, September 5, 2011: — Atlas Copco’s Gas and Process division has won an order to deliver equipment to a turnkey geothermal power plant in Turkey’s Aydin province.The order includes two turbo expander generator trains which will be able to deliver a total 45 MW of clean energy when the plant goes into operation in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Cologne, Germany, June 1, 2011 — Reinforcing its strong global position in the Power Generation market, Atlas Copco Gas and Process has received a major order related to the Ma’aden Aluminium Project in Saudi Arabia, valued at about MUSD 40 (MSEK 235). The order consists of 20 centrifugal gas compressors, which will help generate power for an aluminium smelting plant. The machines are scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2012.

Atlas Copco inaugurates new turbomachinery production facility in China
Shanghai, China, November 15, 2010 — Atlas Copco has opened its new production facility in China. The investment volume for the plant, located in the Lingang industrial zone of Shanghai, is MSEK 100 (MEUR 10.7, the equivalent of RMB 100 million in local currency). The new facility will provide assembly and packaging for the company’s entire range of turbocompressors and turboexpanders, as well as engineering and aftermarket services. The plant will be operated by Atlas Copco’s Gas and Process Division and start production in January 2011.

The order, scheduled for delivery in Q3/2011, is for four centrifugal gas compressors to be used at a new natural-gas driven power plant in Saudi Arabia.
