In 2007, we increased our market impact by acquiring the assets to California-based Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company, a company that manufactures expander compressors and expander generators with particular expertise in the oil and gas industry.

This transaction means that Atlas Copco customers have a broader portfolio of products from which to choose, and the additional support of more than 120 experts. Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench Company has a global market presence, making Atlas Copco Gas and Process’s reach even more international and our service capacity even greater.

In addition, our U.S. product company Atlas Copco Comptec, in Voorheesville (New York), strengthens the international position and profile of Atlas Copco Gas and Process. Our experts at the U.S. production facilitiy can draw from three decades of experience and know-how, and they specialize in the design and manufacturing of both integrally-geared centrifugal air and gas compressors.

Our products serve a wide range of markets including industrial gases, engineering and construction, oil and gas, refining, chemical, electronics, power, pharmaceutical, power and automotive, among others.
